Program Details
This unique program offers you the opportunity to travel to the United States on a J-1 visa for a period of
11 - 13 weeks, and get paid to work at a U.S. summer camp as a camp counselor or a support staff member. As a part of the program, you will work for a period of 7 - 9 weeks at the camp, following which you will have the ability to travel around the U.S. for up to 4 weeks!

Earn $1,950 - $2,050 USD depending on your level of experience!

​J-1 Visa valid for 11 - 13 weeks, allowing for 1 month of travel in the U.S. after camp

Requirements
Program requirements:

Ability to speak and understand conversational English ​

Availability May - September 2024

Age 19 - 25 (some flexibility for skilled workers)

Possess a skill or hobby relevant to the summer camp, including but not limited to: Arts and crafts, science and IT, sports, water sports, performing arts, circus, extreme sports, music, dance, animal related, photography, fishing, gymnastics, media, outdoor activities, culinary arts, martial arts, and archery. Experience working with adults and children with disabilities is highly desirable!

Must be personable, fun-loving, and interested in working with youth!
Additional Information
This program is a wonderful opportunity to improve your English and have an intercultural work experience in the United States. However, summer camps are responsible for making the final hiring decisions. You Travel & Teach will assist you in your application process, but cannot guarantee a successful placement! If you are offered a contract, you will be responsible for the following costs:

All fees associated with obtaining visa, including embassy fees and medical screenings

Round trip flight to the U.S.

Bank account balance of at least $1,000 USD or equivalent in local currency for visa issuance
