Program Details
Our partnership with Ateneo Corsi di Lingue brings you the best of both worlds, allowing you to immerse yourself in Italian culture for eight months as an Italian language student while also working as an English teacher! From arrival through departure, you will be supported by our Italian program team who have participated in this very program themselves.
Requirements & Eligibility
Program Eligibility:

This program is open to U.S. citizens, or citizens of other countries whose first language is English
Program Requirements:

Ability to speak and understand conversational Italian ​(B1)

Availability for at least 6 months from September - June. Availability for complete period has a higher likelihood of acceptance into program.

Possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in your home country before the start of the program

Experience teaching English to non-native speakers. This can include time spent as a tutor or volunteer. Preference is given to applicants who poses teaching certificates (TESOL, CELTA, TEFL, etc.)
What's Included?
The program includes:​

6 - 9 month paid teaching placement at private language academy in northern Italy

Opportunity to enroll in Italian language classes

Paperwork associated with obtaining visa for long term stay in Italy

Accompaniment through administrative process associated with arrival, process of finding housing, etc.

Regular check-ins and monitoring to ensure successful completion of program

This program runs annually from mid September through the end of May. You must have availability for at least 6 months, though preference is given to candidates with availability for the complete program period.
Program Costs:

The program has a total cost of $850.00 USD, paid in two installments. The first is a registration fee of $100.00, and the second is a program fee of $750.00.

The above costs do not include airfare, costs associated with obtaining the visa, or medical insurance.
Application Timeline:

We accept program applications year round. Applications that are submitted by July 1st of the intended program year have a higher likelihood of acceptance into the program.
