
Our Scholarships
Financial status should not dictate access to opportunity
Our scholarship awards are directed first and foremost at applicants who, due to financial limitation, would find participation in an international teaching experience unattainable. Additionally, each award has a specific focus with an intent of increasing diversity in our program. Applicants are encouraged to apply for multiple awards if they match the award criteria, though there is a limit of one award per applicant. Click the link below to apply!


Christine J. Trefethen Award
The Christine J. Trefethen award is directed at applicants who are or were first generation college students. Special consideration is given to female applicants. Valued at $3,000, this scholarship covers the cost of airfare, as well as full program tuition.

Eric W. List Award
The Eric W. List award is directed at applicants who are from, or have a part of their identity rooted in a rural area of the country. Valued at $1,500, this scholarship is designed to cover 75% of the cost of program tuition.

Sophia T. List Award
The Sophia T. List award is directed at applicants who identify as LGBTQ+, are persons of color, or are from minority backgrounds. Valued at $1,500, this scholarship is designed to cover 75% of the cost of program tuition.

Michael J. Gallagher II Award
The Michael J. Gallagher II award is directed at applicants who are passionate about serving others, and have been agents for change in their communities. Valued at $1,500, this scholarship is designed to cover 75% of the cost of program tuition.
Application Timeline & Important Information

Rolling applications for program admission and scholarship funding: November 15th - April 30th or until spots are filled

Scholarship applications due: April 14th 11:59 PM EST

Deposit submission deadline: May 1st 11:59 PM EST

Complete program payment: June 1st 11:59 PM EST
Scholarship applicants must also submit a completed program application along with their scholarship application before the deadline of April 14th 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship applications will be reviewed between April 14th and April 24th, with interviews taking place the week of April 17th to April 21st, and award decisions being announced on April 24th by 11:59 PM EST. If you are selected for a scholarship, you are also awarded a spot in our program. Scholarship awardees will have a period of 72 hours to accept or decline the award before it is handed to an alternate candidate. All deposits must be submitted by May 1st at 11:59 PM EST.
