Experience Summer Camp
Experience Summer Camp, founded in 1985, is both a day and residential summer camp that seeks to provide unique, meaningful summer camp experiences for children ages 6 to 21. Since its inception, Experience Summer Camp has grown into the largest summer camp consortium in Italy, receiving close to 10,000 campers and over 1,000 staff every year. We are lucky enough to be a part of their team during the summer! The camp, which runs from June to September, operates in a variety of regions in the country. During our program, we will be working at three of their different locations. These are Canazei in the Dolomites in Trento, Grosseto in Tuscany, and Lignano Sabbiadoro in Udine. Teaching English

New to teaching? A seasoned teacher with years of experience? Whatever you bring to the table will be a great addition to the You Travel & Teach team! Our program leaders, Nick and Eliot, both have years of teaching experience themselves and will make sure you feel well prepared before your first lesson.
While at camp, we are responsible for teaching six hours per day to groups of around 12 campers, ranging in age from 6 to 17 years old. We do our best to match you to an age group that you feel most comfortable working with. You will have the opportunity to design your own lessons or use some of our pre-made lessons to independently teach your classes! In class, the focus is not on grammar or completing worksheets, but rather on games and other conversational activities that encourage the campers to engage with the language in a way that is both fun and educational. You will have the ability to let your creativity run free. The sky is the limit!
